A site that tries to give only the facts on a subject without all the self serving crap. You may not like what I say, but that's too bad. It's the truth as I see it.
I find myself more and more skeptical on comments made by Terri Schiavo’s parents. A week ago, they are telling everyone who would listen how bad Terri looks, her skin frail, and her lips bleeding. In fact, her brother said he would not allow his parents in to see Terri because of the condition she was in.
Then overnight we find out that the 11th Court of Appeals would look at the motion asking for the case to be retried, as well as a TRO, which would allow the tube to be reinserted. While the Court was looking at the motion, the Schindlers paraded a half dozen friends in front of the camera, saying how great Terri looked, that her skin was fine, she was not in any distress, it was nothing short of a miracle on how Terri got so much better, and it just happened to be while the courts were considering if they would retry the case.
It seems when things are not looking the best for the Schindlers, then Terri is on deaths door. However, when the Courts are considering something, then she looks great, and there is no problem with her health, essentially telling the courts that her health should not be an issue in deciding if they are going to allow the motion in.
While the parents and siblings have put this almost daily spin on her health, Terri’s husband has reported what seems to be the truth. He would say her lips are not bleeding, her skin while dry, is not breaking down. Just what you would expect to see at the time. Therefore, it seems to me no matter what side you take on this issue; do not believe what you hear from Terri’s parents concerning her health. Wait for her husband to make a statement on her condition, as it seems what you hear will be closer to the truth.

while i prefer to believe mr/mrs schindler are so distraught as to not be fully responsible for their actions and statements, your advice seems well-founded to me.

if you havent checked this site out yet, you may want to take a look at it. he seems to have a very balanced (and sympathetic) take on the whole thing and he seems conversant with the legal issues and events. there are links to many of the court documents (judge greer's statement listing the reasons he ruled the way he did lists a number of inconsistencies in the testimony of the schindler's witnesses).
